A meeting
of the FULL BOARD OF
DIRECTORS of ULAA
will be held in
Detroit, Michigan on
May 3,
2008. The group of
“complaining Board
Members”, previously
dubbed, as the G-17
will also cease to
exist and become an
integral part of the
Full Board.
These are
among several
resolutions reached
in Philadelphia and
resulting from a
daylong mediation of
the ULAA Eminent
Persons council on
Saturday, April 12,
2008. All
previously
fragmentally
scheduled ‘board’
meetings have
accordingly been
cancelled.
The
Council, welcomed by
the Board Executive
Committee, the
Administration and
the erstwhile G-17,
encouraged and
facilitated the
Philadelphia based
ACANA meeting, which
puffed out a
friendly smoke of
unity from the April
12th
Peace Pipe.
Board
Chairman James
larsah, ULAA
President Emmanuel
Weetee and the
spokesman for the
G-17 (Hon. Michael
Dortu), were
thankful to the
Eminent Persons, and
appreciative of the
cordial atmosphere
that permeated
discussions in
Philadelphia. It
became a scene of
jubilation, embrace
and expressions of
kind sentiments and
assurances.
Earlier,
Presidenjt Shiwoh
Kamara of the
Liberia Association
of Pennsylvania,
LAP, welcomed the
Eminent Persons and
all concerned
parties to
Philadelphia. President
Kamara said although
the ULAA PA Chapter
was not given a
full-fledged
participatory role
in the planning and
hosting of these
deliberations, he
was happy that
people of reasoning
could consider
today’s endeavor as
a priority. Mr.
Kamara said he was
proud of the
historical role LAP
has and continued to
play in the Affairs
of ULAA.
The
Eminent Persons,
currently under the
